About AskGreg
25 years inside European telecom. Now working for you.
I started my career when GSM was a novelty and number portability was a political debate. Today I help operators, MVNOs and carriers navigate the same industry — from the outside, with a consultant’s independence and an operator’s instincts.
My name is Gregory Glineur, a Belgian telecom consultant and founder of AskGreg. Based in Mons, I help telecom operators and technology companies across Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France and the UK. Through a trusted network of experts, I also support projects throughout Europe.
I have more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry. I started my career at Proximus (formerly Belgacom), Belgium’s leading telecom operator, before joining MCI WorldCom, one of the world’s largest international carriers. Working for both an incumbent operator and a global wholesale carrier gave me a unique understanding of the telecom market.
Over the years, I have worked in business development, telecom strategy, carrier relations and partner management. I have negotiated voice and SMS interconnection agreements, launched new telecom services, and helped operators develop successful go-to-market strategies.
I also have extensive experience in telecom regulation in Belgium. I advise companies on IBPT compliance, number portability, numbering plans, VoIP emergency call obligations, and other regulatory requirements.
Everything I share is based on real operational experience. I don’t just understand telecom from the outside—I have worked inside operators, negotiated with carriers, and helped bring telecom products and services to market.
Today, through AskGreg, I channel that experience into three complementary practice areas.
Three disciplines, one contact.
Let’s talk about your telecom challenge
Whether you’re launching an MVNO, entering a new market, or dealing with a compliance question — a 30-minute call is usually enough to map out where I can help.
